Alexandra House, Swindon

My stay at the hotel was excellent! The rooms were comfortable and had everything I needed, from tea/coffee facilities to fluffy pillows. The staff, including the new manager, were fantastic. However, the location was a bit far from my final destination. Overall, a great value for money experience.

The hotel had lovely, comfortable, and modern rooms furnished to a good standard, but unfortunately, they were riddled with damp and a very bad odor, with one wall covered in mold. The service was friendly but lacked attentiveness at times, more focused on clearing plates than ensuring the availability of food. The location was beautiful and central, though marred by some cleanliness issues on the carpet. The dining options were limited, especially for vegetarians, and the hotel struggled to keep up with demand during busy times. The facilities were adequate but not outstanding.

While the location was nice and modern, providing a safe place for bicycles, the rooms were disappointing as they were not cleaned by housekeeping and lacked temperature control. The service was functional but could use some friendliness. The dining experience was overrated, and some items were not replenished promptly.
